R1/MATHIASEN MOTORSPORTS SET TO BEGIN EUROPEAN JOURNEY TO LE MANS IN COLLABORATION WITH TECH1 RACING.

April 20, Francorchamps, Wallonia, Belgium.- PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports will begin their European adventure in the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship, in collaboration with Tech1 Racing. PR1 Motorsports will take part in three events of the WEC Calendar, starting with The Prologue next week, followed by Total 6 Hours of SPA-Francorchamps, and culminating with the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans in August. The lineup for the #24 PR1 Motorsports / Tech1Racing LMP2, is composed of Patrick Kelly, Simon Trummer and Gabriel Aubry.

By winning the Trueman Aiken 2020 Championship, Patrick Kelly and PR1/ Mathiasen received an invitation to race the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

The official WEC pre-season test, which is known as The Prologue, will get underway at the SPA-Francorchamps circuit, next Monday April 26 and Tuesday April 27th, with 4 free practice sessions. For more information on The Prologue time table and scoring, click here.

Saranno al via nella  Sprint GT Cup, classe che sta riscuotendo grande successo con tanti equipaggi al volante di Ferrari, Porsche e Lamborghini in lizza  per il titolo italiano.

Arriva un’altra Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo nella classe GT Cup del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo ormai alle porte. E’ quella dell’Easy Race, il team campione in carica 2020 con Chiesa-Greco, al cui volante ci sarà un equipaggio inedito composto da Francesca Linossi e Daniel Vebster che prenderà parte alla serie Sprint.

La Linossi, 29enne bresciana, figlia d’arte, ha alle sue spalle numerose edizioni della serie tricolore, tra cui quella del 2019, stagione nella quale assieme a Stefano Colombo si è laureata campionessa italiana  GT3 Pro-Am della serie Endurance  al volante della Mercedes AMG GT3 dell’Antonelli Motorsport.

Anche Vebster, 18enne svedese, nonostante la sua giovane età, ha già nel suo palmares un  titolo  italiano, quello conquistato lo scorso anno assieme a Giacomo Riva nella Sprint GT4 AM con la Porsche Cayman dei Centri Porsche Ticino.

L’ennesimo equipaggio iscritto nella classe GT Cup, assistito dall’agenzia di managemnet Set Up,   conferma il nuovo corso della classe riservata alle vetture in configurazione monomarca che, al momento, nella serie Sprint al via a fine mese a Monza, presenta nove iscrizioni con tre Ferrari e altrettante Porsche e Lamborghini.

AF Corse, completata la line-up per il tricolore GT
Dopo Schreiner-Hudspeth-Fuoco, la compagine piacentina ufficializza altri due equipaggi composti da Simon Mann-Cressoni e Peter Mann-Casè al volante delle Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020.

E’ ormai definito lo squadrone AF Corse che prenderà parte all’imminente 19^ edizione del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo con le Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020. All’equipaggio composto da Carrie Schreiner e Sean Hudspeth nello Sprint, a cui si affiancherà Antonio Fuoco nell’Endurance, si aggiungono ora il giovanissimo ventenne Simon Mann, in coppia con Matteo Cressoni, e suo padre Peter Mann che affiancherà il due volte campione italiano GT3, Lorenzo Casè.

Simon Mann-Cressoni, equipaggio ormai collaudato, arriva da due stagioni positive l’ultima delle quali conclusa con il titolo GT3 PRO-AM Sprint, e si cimenterà in entrambe le serie Sprint ed Endurance. Peter Mann-Casè, invece, è un equipaggio assolutamente inedito, con entrambi i protagonisti legati da tempo al marchio Ferrari e che in questa stagione limiteranno il loro impegno allo Sprint. Per questa serie la stagione agonistica si aprirà a Monza a fine mese, mentre per la prima dell’Endurance occorrerà attendere il week end 21-23 maggio con il grande ritorno sul circuito siciliano di Pergusa.

I fratelli Lino e Carlo Curti, due grandi ritorni nel tricolore GT
Già protagonisti della stagione 2016, saranno di nuovo in pista nella serie Sprint con i colori dello Tsunami RT al volante della Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 4.0.

E’ un gradito ritorno nel Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo quello dei fratelli Lino e Carlo Curti. I due piloti milanesi, dopo la bella stagione 2016 che li vide conquistare il terzo posto nella classe GT Cup, saranno di nuovo al via in questa 19^ edizione della serie tricolore con i colori dello Tsunami RT.

La compagine sanmarinese, con cui i fratelli Curti hanno disputato divese stagioni agonistiche tra cui la Carrera Cup Italia e il GT Open Cup Europa, metterà a loro disposizione una Porsche GT3 Cup 4.0 per il campionato Sprint GT Cup, serie che partirà da Monza a fine aprile con le prime due gare della stagione. Dopo l’appuntamento inaugurale sul tracciato lombardo, la stagione proseguirà sempre con due gare per ogni week end a Misano Adriatico (4-6 giugno), Imola (3-5 settembre) e Mugello (6-8 ottobre).

Ceccato Racing, lo svedese Nilsson affiancherà Neri e Fascicolo nella serie GT4 Endurance
Si completa la line-up della compagine veneta che sarà impegnata al volante della BMW M4 GT4 nelle quattro gare della durata di tre ore. Primo appuntamento in Sicilia, a Pergusa, dal 21 al 23 maggio.

La rosa dei piloti alla guida della BMW M4 GT4 del Ceccato Racing che gareggerà nel campionato GT4 Endurance si arricchisce del 19enne svedese Alfred Nilsson. Classe 2001, Nilsson è uno uno dei talenti scelti dalla Swedish Car Sport Federation nel 2015 insieme con la National Sports Association per far parte della squadra nazionale juniores da avviare al motorsport, esperienza chiave per completare la sua esperienza nelle corse. Nel 2019 debutta con le ruote coperte mettendosi in luce in occasione di alcune gare del Campionato Europeo GT4 con una BMW M4.

Dopo aver effettuato il test a Misano Adriatico la scorsa settimana con la BMW M4 GT4, Roberto Ravaglia e Luigi Slongo non hanno avuto dubbi sulle potenzialità velocistiche del giovane svedese; insiemea a Marius Zug e Simone Riccitelli, che non ha ancora ufficializzato il programma 2021, Nilsson è il terzo pilota del Team che non supera i 20 anni di età, confermando la filosofia del Team di avvalersi di giovani talenti.

“Sono molto grato a Roberto ed a tutto il team Ceccato Racing – ha dichiarato Nilsson – per avermi dato la possibilità di scendere in pista con la loro BMW M4 nella competizione Endurance del Campionato Italiano 2021. La mia più grande ambizione per quest’anno era poter guidare una vettura da turismo a livello internazionale e posso dire di averla raggiunta e superata.”

Around 20 teams have already entered for the event organized in 2021 by V de V Sports. The first race of the year reserved for historic racing cars will be run over 6 hours on the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit. This will provide great satisfaction for competitors who love long-distance events after the never-ending winter break and the many cancellations and postponements due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Magny-Cours 6 Hours will provide an opportunity for them all to get back behind the wheel and find their marks on the very selective circuit in the Nevers region. But also to prepare for an even more eagerly awaited endurance race, the 2 Tours d’Horloge, which will be revived this coming November on the Paul Ricard circuit by the original organising team, V de V Sports managed by Eric and Laure Van de Vyver.

The types of cars as well as the regulations are exactly the same for the Magny-Cours 6 Hours as for Les 2 Tours d’Horloge. The organisers have already decided to accept crews comprising four drivers so that competitors can have the same lineup for the big 24-hour endurance event.

Among the teams entered for the Magny-Cours 6 Hours are several faithful followers of the competitions organised by V de V Sports starting with the Cogemo team present at the early runnings of the 2 Tours d’Horloge. And also the Wassermann Racing outfit with two BMWs. Porsche, another German manufacturer, can count on several teams to defend its colours like Duigou Racing, Circuit de Dakar/Mansfeld, Team Flatmotors, Colenor Racing Team, CG Motorsport, O-One and JP Racing. The Team Pilote 69 embodied by the family duo of Beltramelli father and son will also take part in the race in a Ford Escort MK1. Also present will be the Chevron B36 run by the Ford Racing Expérience squad and driven by John Doe, organizer of the 100 Tours du Castellet (curtain-raiser to the 2 Tours d’Horloge) and partner of the event via the site Classic Racing Annonces. The renowned Chateaux Sport Auto team is also among the starters with a Grac MT 14B.

Henri Leconte will team up with Eric Van de Vyver in a TVR Griffith.

This first endurance race of the season should have a great grid lineup.

Franck Montagny will set off in a Triumph TR8 IMSA!

Several well-known figures will also join in the festivities. Former tennis player Henri Leconte (winner of the Davis Cup in 1991, finalist in the French International Tournament in 1988 and winner of the men’s doubles in Roland Garros in 1984) will be on the grid at the wheel of a TVR Griffith 200 shared with Eric Van de Vyver. Another international French sportsman, racing driver Franck Montagny (works Super Aguri F1 and Peugeot Sport Endurance driver, Renault F1 and Toyota F1 test driver) and today F1 consultant for Canal+, will drive a Triumph TR8 IMSA run by the FYL Racing team. Rendezvous in a few weeks for the complete list of entries for the Magny-Cours 6 Hours.

Ceccato Racing, scelto l’equipaggio della BMW M4 per il campionato Sprint GT4

Saliranno sulla vettura bavarese Nicola Neri e Giuseppe Fascicolo, mentre è ancora da definire il terzo pilota per la serie Endurance.

La BMW M4 GT4, seconda vettura schierata dal Ceccato Racing nel Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo 2021, è stata provata al circuito di Misano Adriatico da diversi piloti, alcuni dei quali giovanissimi. Il team padovano conferma così la sua vocazione a individuare i talenti più interessanti. Nella due giorni di test pre-campionato si sono messi in evidenza, con la coupé bavarese, lo svedese Alfred Nilsson e l’italiano Simone Riccitelli, entrambi diciannovenni.

È stato intanto definito l’equipaggio che affronterà la serie Sprint con la BMW M4 GT4: sarà formato da Nicola Neri, alla sua seconda stagione con il Ceccato Racing, e da Giuseppe Fascicolo, che ritorna così alla guida della vettura tedesca. Per quanto riguarda il Campionato Gran Turismo serie Endurance, la terna di piloti verrà ufficializzato nei prossimi giorni.

Roberto Ravaglia, team manager Ceccato Racing: «Dopo una brillante stagione 2020 nel Campionato italiano GT Sprint, in cui abbiamo conquistato il titolo della classe GT4 Pro-Am, siamo pronti a tornare in pista con un equipaggio fortemente motivato e una vettura sicuramente in grado di puntare ad un altro campionato. La due giorni di test a Misano Adriatico ci ha permesso di assettare al meglio la BMW M4 ma, soprattutto, di provare alcuni possibili candidati per l‘equipaggio che schiereremo nella competizioni della serie Endurance».

GT 2021, doppio impegno per SR&R con la Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo nella classe GT Cup
La Scuderia di Ravetto e Ruberti schiererà la vettura in entrambe le serie con Luca Demarchi e Nicholas Risitano (Sprint), che saranno affiancati da Edoardo Barbolini nell’Endurance.

Nell’imminente 19^ edizione del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo, SR&R, la Scuderia di Manfredi Ravetto e Paolo Ruberti, raddoppierà il proprio impegno rispetto alla scorsa stagione. Oltre alla serie Sprint, infatti, la Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo sarà schierata anche nell’Endurance nella GT Cup, classe che riproporrà il duello tra Ferrari, Porsche e Lamborghini in configurazione monomarca.

Difenderanno i colori della compagine veronese il confermato Luca Demarchi, che nella Sprint dividerà l’abitacolo con Nicholas Risitano, mentre nell’Endurance l’equipaggio sarà completato da Edoardo Barbolini.

Tutti i piloti hanno già diverse vittorie nei rispettivi palmares. Demarchi è il campione italiano GT Light 2016 e vice-campione italiano GT Cup Sprint nel 2020, anno in cui sempre con S.R.&R. ha vinto la classe alla 6h di Roma. Titolato è anche Risitano, già campione italiano ed europeo di Kart e proveniente con ottimi risultati dalla Nascar, così come Barbolini vincitore della Coppa Italia TCR nel 2018 e 2019.

“Siamo molto soddisfatti di quanto fatto nel 2020 al nostro debutto in un campionato impegnativo come il CIGT – ha commentato Paolo Ruberti – ma, tra tanti podi conseguiti, ci è mancata la soddisfazione della vittoria: avendola poi conseguita alla 6h di Roma, contiamo di poterla conquistare anche nel CIGT quest’ anno con i piloti che abbiamo scelto sulla base di una serie di prove convincenti che ci hanno fornito; l’esperienza di Manfredi e mia è a loro disposizione per provare a vincere nel rispetto di uno schieramento che quest’ anno si dimostra assai competitivo”.

Anche Manfredi Ravetto è ottimista per l’imminente stagione: “Dedichiamo un doveroso ringraziamento ad AciSport che ancora una volta, in periodi disagevoli, allestisce un campionato in espansione costante. S.R.&R. cresce, un passo alla volta, ed aumenta gli sforzi dimostrandosi ciò che vogliamo sia: una famiglia sportiva e tecnica – con i confermati Gianfranco Fantuzzi, responsabile della parte organizzativa e sportiva, ed Alex Frassen come responsabile della parte tecnica – che riesca ad individuare e preparare piloti meritevoli, mettendoli in luce per affrontare i palcoscenici più impegnativi”.

La stagione ormai alle porte si aprirà, per la serie Sprint, a Monza dal 30 aprile al 2 maggio, mentre l’Endurance sarà di scena per la prima stagionale a Pergusa dal 21 al 23 maggio.
